in the face of cliché

I love. love. love. the face-lifts Anthropologie has given these classics. Titles include: Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Sense and Sensibility, Great Expectations, and Wuthering Heights.

Oh, to decorate my shelves with such art.

  1. These aren't actually by Anthropologie. They're Penguin classics designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith (cb-smith.com) and you can get them at Amazon for less. I've already ordered two to start my collection and they are in the mail! I also blogged about them here: http://tossingpaper.blogspot.com/2010/03/books-cover-matters.html (in case you hadn't seen it).

Also: I think we should open a book store. I'd be totally up for that. Just let me know whenever you want to start work on it! lol

  2. I did see your post! Before I wrote this, actually. So I think that's bloggie theft. Maybe.

Anyway, I don't think I realized they were one in the same. But I love these covers, so thanks for the tip about Amazon. Maybe I will decorate with them after all. :)

    And-YES!-definitely yes. Let's open a bookstore together. :)
